Gweithdy bywiog gyda “Thriawd Harriet Earis” (drymiau, bas dwbl a thelyn) i archwilio ffyrdd i ddefnyddio’r delyn wrth ganu mewn band. Edrychwn ar ddau ddarn jazz ac arbrofi gyda rhai rhannau bas, rhythmau a thechnegau ar gyfer canu ar y pryd i’ch helpu chi datblygu’r hyder i ganu'ch telyn chi mewn band.

Ensemble Class: Celtic tunes for the harp
In this class you’ll learn some lively Celtic tunes from Wales, Scotland and Ireland by ear. Sheet music will also be av ailable. We will prepare some arrangements of Celtic melodies to perform during Sunday’s concert. But you will also learn some of the main ornaments used in Celtic music and get some ideas about how you can arrange a Celtic tune by yourself by adding interesting chords and rhythms in the left hand.

Yn y dosbarth hwn, dysgwch rhai alawon Celtaidd bywiog o Gymru, yr Alban ac Iwerddon o’r glust. Bydd gerddoriaeth ysgrifenedig ar gael hefyd. Paratown rhai trefniadau o alawon Celtaidd i berfformio yn ystod y gyngerdd Dydd Sul. Ond hefyd y dysgwch rhai o’r prif addurniadau a defnyddir yng ngherddoriaeth Geltaidd a chael rhai syniadau am sut y gallwch chi drefnu alaw Geltaidd ar ben eich hunan, trwy ychwanegu cordiau a rhythmau diddorol yn y llaw chwith.

A workshop that will explore how to ensure you execute the performance you want. We all must go through stressful performance scenarios whether it be exams, the local Eisteddfod or even auditions. This workshop is set up in the hope that we can discover our inner peace before stepping onto the stage and wow the crowd. Through preparation, memorisation and practice, we can achieve :-)

Master the Metronome!
Whether you love them or hate them, a metronome is a musicians best friend! It is the perfect teacher of rhythm, who never list you get away with anything. Llywelyn will help attune your ear to using a metronome, allowing you to learn smooth, rhythmical playing, and tips to get pieces up to speed. Llywelyn will need a few participants to play scales/pieces and other exercises in the class to demonstrate.

Individual Lessons
Harp students are invited to enrol for a one to one lesson with one of our experienced harp teachers. Make the most of our tutor's expertise by having a private lesson in a relaxed environment at the university.
* There is an additional charge for attending an individual lesson.
